Overhaul and Editing of Galactic Consequences
Edit
Before starting to attack what will be Chapter IX, and thus the start of the real deal, I decided to do a major editing/overhaul of the previous chapters.
Indeed, I started writing those early chapters around the end of 2024, and needless to say, my prose has progressed since then. I also have had some precious feedback from friends who read my short stories, which I am thinking of applying to the novel before continuing (maybe very soon!) onto the ninth chapter.
I also made serious progression into my grammar and my vocabulary, which was starting to be visible between the early chapters and the newest chapters; I do hope this harmonisation of sort will satisfy you once it’s out.
I have rewritten some parts, added some words here and there, deleted some useless sentences (usually repeats of what I already introduced in the previous chapters), and generally improve the readability of the novel.
Of course, this is no grand literary novel, this is a casual fiction novel targeted at teenagers and adults. There will absolutely not be any NSFW scene. I am still debating whether adding what we call “fade to black”, but for now even those are not in the program.
This story is everything I love, it’s very nerdy (and can get technical at time, though I try to make those passage short to be skipped if you don’t have the knowledge to understand them.). There is a romance between the two main characters but this is a lovely romance where feelings are most prominent. I do not care for more than that.
I guess you’ll see when you’ll read it.
Cheers,
Charlotte Thomas
